Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This page explains what personal data this website collects, why and for how long. It is the notice required by Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is Alessandro Bigatti, Milan.
For any request about your data you can write to bigattialessandro01@gmail.com.
2. What data I collect
- Data you send me by email: your email address, your name and the text of your message. The site has no contact form. The button in the Contact section opens a new email in your mail app: the message is sent from your mailbox and doesn’t pass through this site. The “Copy” button copies my address to your device’s clipboard: the site receives nothing.
- Browsing data: IP address, browser type, date and time of the visit, pages requested. They are recorded automatically by the service that hosts the site, to make it work and keep it secure.
- Visit statistics, only if you accept them: pages visited, where you came from (for example a search engine or a link), device type, approximate country and city, and clicks on the site’s main controls (for example opening a project or downloading the CV). They are collected by Google Analytics 4 and I only see them as totals: I don’t know who you are. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t store IP addresses.
Please don’t include sensitive data in your message, such as health information or information about other people.
3. Why I use it
- To reply to your message and assess a possible collaboration: this is done at your request, before any contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To run the site and keep it secure: this is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- For visit statistics, which tell me which pages and projects people are most interested in: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
I don’t use your data for advertising or newsletters, I don’t build profiles and I don’t make automated decisions.
4. Do you have to provide it?
No. To reply to you, though, I need your email address and your message.
5. How long I keep it
- The messages I receive: for 24 months from the last contact. If a collaboration follows, for its duration and for the time required by law.
- Browsing data: for the time set by Vercel.
- Visit statistics: data linked to a single browser for 2 months, after which only totals remain.
6. Who can see it
Your data is not sold or disclosed. It is processed on my behalf, only to provide the service, by:
- Vercel, which hosts the site;
- Google, which provides the mailbox where I receive messages and, only if you accept them, the visit statistics (Google Analytics).
7. Data outside the European Union
Some of these providers are based in the United States. In that case the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Cookies
This site doesn’t use profiling or advertising cookies. It uses cookies only for visit statistics and only if you accept them: they are Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_…, lasting up to 2 years). Without your consent no cookie is set and the Google Analytics script isn’t loaded.
Your choice stays only in your browser. You can change it here at any time:
The site contains links to external sites (for example LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Mediaset Infinity). When you open them, those sites’ privacy rules apply.
9. Your rights
At any time you can ask me to:
- tell you what data of yours I hold and give you a copy;
- correct or delete it;
- restrict or object to its use;
- give it to you in a format that another service can read.
Write to bigattialessandro01@gmail.com: I reply within one month.
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
10. Changes to this page
If the way the site handles data changes, I update this page and the date at the top.
